Chronicles of an ElectricDuo. In 2007, Stolen Coast, was officially christened by brother and sister duo, James and Candace Balfour. It all started with a little recording project that turned into a full length, 10 song debut CD. Stolen Coast is all about, exploring creativity and sharing their love of music. People have commented that their music puts them in mind of Jeff Buckley, The Cranberries, U2, and David Bowie, to name a few. Stolen Coast finds their music closely linked with the visual arts, and often use colour to describe sound, and lyrics about nature to convey idea's and emotions. Many times they perform with artist, Nikki Balfour, who paints live with them on stage.
not a bad philosophy…
this was a photo-op I couldn’t resist on a road trip with friends a couple years ago. we drove from vancouver, bc, to cabo, mexico and back. i was remembering what hot, hot, hot, desert felt like today. i could really go for some of that right now.
Location: pacific side of the baja peninsula, near todos santos.
